I can't believe the attitude, trying to tell you what to write. If they don't like it, they shouldn't read! You have a lot of people out there who do, and it's a shame that this sort of thing happens.
I do hope you can get back to writing again, because you're awesome at it. From someone who also writes Torchwood AU heavily featuring Ianto, there just can't be enough out there.
